Slow is the 5th book by celebrated author Gizzi Erskine. Having been involved in all of her books previously, from cover design to illustrations, this one is a particular favourite due to being allowed a free-reign on design and art direction.

The concept is “food worth taking time over”, and the approach was to convey a calming, paired-back style using fewer props and multiple images of the food being slowly devoured from the plates.
